December brought exciting news to classical guitarist/composer, Alan Goldspiel, when he was notified by Ablaze Records that his piece, Soldier of Mine, was selected to be on the label’s New Choral Voices Vol. 4 CD.
Goldspiel’s piece, selected from dozens of scores from eighteen countries, was written for SATB Choir and was originally commissioned by Snead State Community College with text by Margaret McQuarry Huskey.
The recording will take place in Cincinnati, Ohio in March and will be performed by the Coro Volante choir with Maestro Brett Scott at the helm.
The piece will also be masterfully produced by a GRAMMY Award winning team of Mastering Engineer, Silas Brown, and Recording Engineer, David V.R. Bowles.
When asked about this fantastic accomplishment, Goldspiel stated: “I am very pleased to have this recognition of my work and I really look forward to hearing this professional group perform it.”
