The Goldspiel-Provost Classical Guitar Duo was one of the most exciting and sought-after guitar duos in the country. They enthralled audiences with their musicality, perfectly matched sound and virtuoso arrangements of music from the Baroque to Pop and Jazz. The Duo’s musical artistry, finesse, and informative dialogue appealed to a wide range of musical taste. They have given performances for some of the most prestigious concert halls, universities, and music associations, throughout the country. Their first two recordings, Bluebird (1998) and Grand Duo (2000) have garnered critical acclaim and can be heard across the United States on National Public Radio Stations. An Essential Reflection was their fourth CD released in 2006.
“Throughout the last half of the twentieth century, it became common to use photography to capture memories and images of people, places, and events. Prior to that time we had no simple visual means to record these things. Throughout history, the works of composers and painters often brought their reflections to life. We chose to play upon the word “reflection.” Keeping in mind that in addition to mirroring or throwing back light, heat, and sound, reflection is also the serious thinking upon a subject.
