Description

The Goldspiel-Provost Classical Guitar Duo was one of the most exciting and sought-after guitar duos in the country. They enthralled audiences with their musicality, perfectly matched sound and virtuoso arrangements of music from the Baroque to Pop and Jazz. The Duo’s musical artistry, finesse, and informative dialogue appealed to a wide range of musical taste. They have given performances for some of the most prestigious concert halls, universities, and music associations, throughout the country. Bluebird (1998) and their second recording, Grand Duo (2000) both garnered critical acclaim and can be heard across the United States on National Public Radio Stations. Bluebird was their debut CD released in 1998.

Since the emergence of the classical guitar in the late eighteenth century, guitarists and composers have been intrigued with the musical possibilities of the guitar duo. The duo evolved from its solo/accompaniment beginnings of the teacher and the student to the highly integrated compositional styles represented on this recording.
