Description
From The Faraway Nearby by the Goldspiel-Provost Classical Guitar Duo (2001)
The Goldspiel-Provost Classical Guitar Duo was one of the most exciting and sought-after guitar duos in the country. They enthralled audiences with their musicality, perfectly matched sound and virtuoso arrangements of music from the Baroque to Pop and Jazz. The Duo’s musical artistry, finesse, and informative dialogue appealed to a wide range of musical taste. They have given performances for some of the most prestigious concert halls, universities, and music associations, throughout the country. Their first two recordings, Bluebird (1998) and Grand Duo (2000) have garnered critical acclaim and can be heard across the United States on National Public Radio Stations. From The Faraway Nearby was their third CD released in 2001.
“Over the years, we have appreciated the positive audience reaction to programming works not usually heard in a traditional classical guitar recital and offer here, our mix of classical, folk, and jazz. As in each of our prior recordings, we are pleased to introduce new works written for guitar duo and hope that you enjoy them, as you do the more familiar. This CD offers our mix of classical, folk, and jazz along with the world premier recording of From the Faraway Nearby by Charles Griffin.”
