Soprano Melanie Williams and guitarist Alan Goldspiel conquered the winter weather to perform at Auburn University’s A Little Lunch Music series.

After a delayed start due to snow and ice in the region, the free hour-long performance went off without a hitch at the university’s Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.

The duo performed a series of pieces from a wide variety of composers as well as one composition written by and three others arranged by Dr. Goldspiel himself. The program also featured Goldspiel’s solo guitar music, Nature Sketches. The series director, Patrick McCurry, was pleased with the turn-out and stated, “I loved hearing your music, and thank you so much for braving the ice to perform for us.”
