NACUSA Conferences Highlight March Perfomances

Sunday, March 11th, 2018 – The NACUSA Mid-South Regional performance at LeBaron Recital Hall, University of Montevallo saw Dr. Alan Goldspiel perform repertoire in preparation for his performance at the NACUSA National Conference. Earlier in the year Goldspiel’s composition Yom HaShoah was selected for the national conference.

Goldspiel Performs World Premiere of Yom HaShoah Composition at Montevallo NACUSA Event

October 20th, 2017 – Dr. Alan Goldspiel performed the World Premiere of his composition for guitar entitled Yom HaShoah at a NACUSA (National Association of Composers/USA-Mid-South) event that took place at the University of Montevallo’s LeBaron Recital Hall.

Goldspiel Performs at American Village Independence Day Celebration 2017

IMG_2207As part of July 4th, 2017 celebrations, Alan Goldspiel performed as the house Spanish guitarist in a recreation of the Mount Vernon room at American Village’s Independence Day celebration.

Goldspiel performed three, 30-minute programs of Popular 18th Century Hits for the Spanish guitar. Period composers represented were Fernando Sor, Franz Joseph Haydn, and Francesco Molino.

In the spirit of the celebration, Goldspiel, as well as all other historical reenactors, wore period-appropriate costumes.

Goldspiel Debuts Klezmer Service

On August 26, 2016, classical guitarist and composer, Alan Goldspiel debuted his 55-minute Klezmer Shabbat Service for Quintet, SATB choir, and soloist as commissioned by Temple Emanu-El in Birmingham, AL.
