Parallax Premieres During Series of October Weekend Performances

The month of October saw the World Premiere of a new electronic composition by Alan Goldspiel, Parallax. The composition was presented during several Sounds New NACUSA, Mid-South Chapter Electronics Recitals on October 3-4, 2020.

On October 3rd, 2020, Parallax was presented at three electronics recitals. The World Premiere performance started at 2:00 p.m. was hosted by the University of North Georgia and broadcast live on Facebook via the music department’s event page.

The 3:15 p.m. concert was an outdoor performance presented at Tumbling Creek Woods in Oakwood, GA and the evening outdoor presentation took place at Cherokee Bluffs, Flowery Branch, GA at 6:00 p.m.

October 4th, 2020 saw an outdoor presentation at Don Carter State Park in Gainesville, GA at 12:00 p.m.

Other composers presented during the electronics recitals were David R. Peoples (who is also responsible for putting together these events – thank you, David); Leah Reid; Joe L. Alexander; Greg A. Steinke; William Price; Dallin R. Peoples; and Richard Montalto.
